Accommodations
The ranch is single level, with all rooms entered from a covered, wooden boardwalk.
"Roughing it" may sound romantic, but it doesn't always feel so good, which is why all our ranch-style decorated rooms are air-conditioned, with private bath/shower. Daily maid service is available at an additional fee.
Some rooms are located in a quieter part of the ranch and open onto a shady lawn by the swimming pool, or onto the west-facing boardwalk with a view of the barn and riding arena. Other rooms open onto the south lawn with a view of the hills and the pastures where the horses graze.
We have 19 standard rooms, each with one queen and one single bed, and 3 deluxe rooms. The Buffalo room has a fireplace and a large window with a view of the pastures, the Wagon room with a coffee table and sitting area is quite spacious, and the Rodeo room is popular for its private entrance and view of the beautiful sunsets we get here. Each deluxe room has a king-size bed, fridge, and coffee maker.
The bunkhouse wing opens off the movie lounge and is designed as a safe, cozy place for the kids. There are five bedrooms and two shared bathrooms (one for boys and one for girls). The Gunslinger and Outlaw rooms can accommodate up to three kids, while the Marshal, Sheriff, and Deputy rooms are built for two.
The adult lounge is the center of the ranch, and since 1978 has been the venue for some legendary parties. The room hasn't changed much over the years, partly because our long-term guests threaten us with physical violence if we change things too much, and partly because of its rugged, old-west look. With a huge stone fireplace and comfy chairs, the adult lounge opens onto a large outdoor deck where you can cut the dust at the end of the day and swap stories with your fellow riders before getting ready for dinner, and after dinner.... well, there are many places on the ranch to go for peace, quiet and the tranquility of country living, but the BYOB bar in the adult lounge on a Friday or Saturday night is not one of them!
